Trinamul showed a tremendous victory in West Bengal. Muslims supported you and stood by you. What do you think why they abandoned the left and stood by you?
CPM used the Muslims as a vote bank for as many as 34 years. Now they have known that CPM’s words don’t come to action. The party hasn’t done anything for them at all. Minority and Hindu brothers too have started hating CPM. Both Hindu and Muslims have together decided that now its time when we should eradicate CPM from its very root. This is indeed a very good sign. The poor people whether they are Hindu or Muslim or from the lower cast have decided that they wont support CPM at any cost no matter what as the party has done injustice to them and have cheated them. This message is not just only for Bengal but for the whole nation.
In comparison with the other states the Muslims of Bengal are more backward. What is the reason behind it?
They are appearing to be backward because after Assam, in Bengal the total strength of the Muslims is 36 percent as compared to the total population. On the other hand there are 33 percent voters. This 36 percent per cent population of the minority class has an important place. If by any chance the Muslims become angry if in case the, Muslims become angry then that means one fourth population of the country is angry.
When there are so many Muslims and they are so important despite this the development of the Muslims is seen no where. Did CPM ever tried to make a special policy or strategies for them?
See, when Justice Sachhar’s report came that time Budhadeb Bhattacharjee said nothing is lacking, we have done a lot for the Muslims. Justice Sachhar said that the Muslims of Bengal are leading a life even poorer than the dalits. Despite admitting the mistakesm, CPM said that the very report itself is wrong. After this CPM announced that it will give jobs to one crore Muslims within a year. All this is rubbish. Now, when they have smelled that they are at the loosing end they still are pertinent with there appeasing politics.
You talked about the Sachar committee report and Rangnath Mishra report. Chauthi Duniya was the first to publicise this report as a result it was presented in the Lok Sabha. How are you going to raise this issue in the election?
Election is a different matter. We have said to the UPA that they should present Sachar and Rangnath Mishra commission report in the parliament . Have an argument over it and should implement it even.
Trinamul is accused to be by the side of the Maoists. What kind of ideology do you possess towards the Maoists?
All we know is that Maoism and Marxism are the two sides of the same coin. Since 34 years Maoists and Marxist together are electing the Marxists. If in all the Panchayats CPM has its hold then it means that CPM has kept getting the support of the Maoists. We have seen that whatever funds are granted for the poor from the centre we have seen how the CPM used it for its own benefit. There is no development at all in the tribal areas people are so poor that they survive by eating leaves. We empathise with the poor public not with Maoists. Politically Maoism and Marxism are sailing in the same boat.
Do you believe that the communists have no moral rights to be in the government, so due to this election should happen early?
No we don’t want any such thing. But we are telling the public that if elections happen then it will be better. We don’t have any plans of dissolving the government or the plans like 356. All we want is that the public should work peacefully because the public has formed a vision that Trinamul is coming, Mamta Banerjee will be the CM.
