The songs from the movie Saraswati Chandra which was released in 1968 is still very famous at today’s time and one of the famous song amongst them is “Chadian Sa Badan Chanchal Chitvan, Dhere Se Tera Yeh Muskurana” and same with the movie Bees Saal which was released in 1962 had many famous songs too like “Kahi Deep Jale, Kahi Dil Sunkar Virah”. The songs from the movie Kabhi Kabhi is still very famous  and one of the reasons is that it was sung by Lata Mangeshkar and  Mukesh and many lovers can relate their lives and feel connected by listening such type of  songs. These songs are very famous at today’s time even. But that was different scenario of Hindi films, because every song depicts something, lyrics are so meaningful. Every Song has different presentation altogether and these type of lyrics are presented by many famous lyricist like Majru Sultanpuri, Sahir Ludhianvi, Hasrat Jaipuri, Gopaldas Niraj, Sahkil Badayuni and Indiver.

But now time changed a lot, today Bollywood want to convert them self like Hollywood and that’s why every actor sings irrelevant without even thinking in most of the films like Meri Pant Bhi Sexy Meri Shirt Bhi Sexy, this song of Dulara was one of the top charted buster at that time the movie was released in 2004, such type of songs changed the overall behavior and thinking of Bollywood and nobody is taking any action against it. Around 14 years back, a lady from Rajyasabha pointed on  the lyrics of the song  Tu-Chiz Badi Hai Mast-Mast of the film Mohara and trying to realize the rest of the people about the status or respect of Bollywood songs in the society, what they are depicting through their lyrics. The song Choli-Ke-Piche Kya Hai from the movie Khalnayak was also very famous that time. the question arises that why lyricist are running away from their responsibilities. Ibantutan Bagal Mein Juta(Ishqiya), Pappu Can’t Dance Saala (Jaane Tu Jaane Na), Tujhe Ghodi Kisne Chadaya Bhutnike ( Sing is King)are some songs and then  what message they are depicting ? What effect will it be given to New Generation? After Bollywood come the Bhojpuri films. More vulgarity was seen in Bhojpuri songs than Bollywood and gives a bad impact on children to. The society changed a lot, everything changed, and one of the reasons is the present type of movies which are giving bad impact on viewers. Many remix songs are being presented instead of old songs. Bad words are being used very often.

Films are the mirror of the society. Everybody expected from the actors that they should performed in a way that can give a glance on the society and can aware the viewer’s about the happenings, where songs must be meant in a way to entertain the audience as well as to give some kind of message to. But at today’s time whatever song is being written it’s all meaningless, no message nothing. We feel little relaxed by listening songs but if songs can lead to harm anybody emotions or do disrespect then we can think where it can take our society respect or Bollywood. Shocking thing is some viewers are enjoying such kind of songs and these songs are being played at high volume in every street. Many English words are being used in Hindi songs.

There was a time when Hindi songs were so famous. It was divided into two parts firstly Hindustani Music which was sung in North India and secondly Karnatka Music which was sung in South India. After that remix comes. Remix captured the world like anything and then no voice, no Sur nothing. Some examples of some Bad Lyrics whicha re not atall depicting anything are Darvaja Khula Chod Aye Neend Ke Mare( Najayaz), Sarkayee Lo Khatia Jada Lage ( Raja Babu),  Volume Kam Kar Papa Jag Jayega ( Houseful), Kambakt ishq Hai Jo( Pyar Tune Kya Kia), Chat Pe Soya Tha Behnoye( Karan Arjun),  Hoth Rasele Tere Hoth Rasele ( Welcome), Ishq Kameena ( Shakti) and Chad Gaya Upar Re Atariya Pe Lotan Kabutar ( Dalal). Whosoever wrote these kinds of songs nobody can make out what’s going on in their minds but yes one thing is confirmed that such kind of songs won’t depict anything.

Earlier Era songs was so touchy and meaningful like Chaudvi Ka Chand Ho, Chandan Sa Badan, tujhse Naraz Nahi Zindagi, Kahi Deep Jale Kahi dil and Jab Koi Baat bigad Jaye etc are some songs which are famous at today’s time also. The reason behind this is only that people feel connected from such kind of songs. The songs should be in a way that can touch anybody’s emotions and lyricist. So at today’s time lyricist has to keep such small-small things in mind while writing songs and it should depict something.
