Power in the hand of hereditary politicians!

There is a saying in politics that “power corrupts power; absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Slowly what seems that democracy politics in India has become hereditary? Very few leaders even the young ones from different walks of life. They are all somehow related to either previous politicians and are either sons or daughters of present powerful political party leaders and alike.

In the present political scenario is it possible for people with no political background enter politics? Certainly, impossible. We are not saying this instead the blue print prepared by Rahul Gandhi and his advisors to enhance youths justify the saying.

Rahul Gandhi has traversed the length and breadth of India, encouraging young people to join the Congress. His promise: to reform his party by bringing in a non-hereditary brand of politics seems worthless. Rahul Gandhi has been trying to win people’s heart by rallying and promising but as a matter of fact he is being opposed also. Rahul Gandhi seems very desperate to conquer the land in Uttar Pradesh and this is the reason why he has planned everything for the future.

Keeping in mind the upcoming polls in several states of the country, Rahul has decided who he wants to project as the Chief Minister.

Chauthi Duniya got some information from the advisory team of Rahul Gandhi. According to that after the massive protest against Beni Prasad Verma now Jitin Prasad will be brought as the contender for the post of Chief Minister in U.P. Congress party is just eying for the right time to disclose it in public. Likewise in Haryana Dipendra Singh Hudda son of Bhupendra Singh Hudda will be projected as the Chief Minister. Paramjeet Kaur is the choice of Congress as the Chief Minister for Punjab. We might get to see a hereditary change in Delhi for sure that will be Sandeep Dixit over Sheila Dixit if Congress wins. Similarly Rahul has chosen C P Joshi for Rajasthan, Arun Vora for Chhattisgarh, N Raghuveera Reddy for Andhra Pradesh, Jayavardhan Singh (son of Digvijay Singh) for Madhya Pradesh, Abhijeet Mukherjee (son of Pranab Mukherjee) for West Bengal, Balmuchu for Jharkhand and in the end Sadhu Yadav for Bihar.

While going through all the names mentioned above one gets to know that to what extent Rahul’s promise weighs. Ironically, the truth is that the Congress Party was and is only confined to hereditary politics.

Almost every party today is under the realm of hereditary politics. The fight for power has changed the meaning of democracy today. Now it is upto the citizens of the country whether they want hereditary politics or a complete democratic country?
